Covid-19 has turned many of our work and personal lives upside down. Our core beliefs have been challenged and we are having to adapt in real time. J&J has partnered with leadership coach Desi Jagger to provide ongoing support as part of the Employee Wellbeing program.

1. Embracing vulnerability

Objective: To reframe vulnerability as a strength and to understand how to leverage it to improve team connection 

We will cover:

  • Definition of vulnerability and why it is important at work
  • Exploration of the relationship between key concepts – vulnerability, strength, courage, empathy, safety, connection and conflict
  • Overcoming the barriers to vulnerability, including cultural, organizational and personal
  • Leveraging vulnerability as a strength

Participants will walk away with a renewed sense of safety and inspiration

2. Navigating Uncertainty

We will cover:

  • The neuroscience of why we dislike uncertainty
  • The importance of the mindset – how your thoughts create your emotions and affect your physical wellbeing during uncertainty
  • Guided visualization to be at peace with the discomfort, insecurity and change in your life
  • Practical exercise on reclaiming your personal power
  • Simple and actionable tools you can use even outside the session
  • Top tips on navigating uncertainty

3. Managing stress

Managing stress via mindfulness techniques and practices. Mindfulness is proven to alleviate the impact of chronic illness, anxiety and stress.

We will cover:

  • The neuroscience behind mindfulness practice
  • Simple tools and exercises to practice mindfulness
  • Tips for continuing this sustainably at home.

4. Managing your emotions

In this session, you will learn how to process your emotions in a healthy way, rather than being overwhelmed or suppressing them.

We will cover:

  • The neuroscience behind emotions
  • Working with your emotions, rather than fighting them
  • How to be at peace whilst paradoxical and contradictory feelings at the same time

5. Balancing work and life

Objective: to learn practical ways of managing work-life balance and enabling your team to do the same.

We will cover

  • Definition of balance and why it’s important
  • Exploring what gets in the way of balance

Desi Jagger

Desi Jagger helps high potential leaders to sustain peak performance in times of complex change. She does this through 1on1 coaching and group workshops, equipping leaders with the right mindset and tools to bring out the best in themselves and others. 

What makes Desi who she is? Besides her 7 year experience at Procter & Gamble leading diverse multi-functional teams, doing brand management, training and coaching, she is also a cancer survivor. She has seen how our thoughts can help us overcome the toughest challenges, she has experienced how we adapt to changes in our emotions, behavior and physical bodies and she knows how mental clarity and focus can power us through anything. 

Desi has worked with leaders in companies like Johnson & Johnson, AkzoNobel, LinkedIn and more. She is a PCC (Professional Certified Coach) and CPCC (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach) and is based in Dubai.
